Data controller

The data controller is Medixsan S.r.l. («Controller»), which runs this website and the Sanitas Italia brand. For any request about the processing of your data you can write to info@medixsan.com.

What data we process

Browsing data

The systems that run the website routinely collect some technical data: IP address, date and time of the request, pages visited, browser and device type. They are used only for the operation and security of the website and are not linked to identified persons.

Data you send us through the contact form

Name, email address, phone and organisation (optional), subject and text of the message. When you submit the form we also record your IP address, to prevent abuse and automated submissions.

The form is meant for requests for information about the kits, supply and distribution: please do not include data about your health in the message.

Why we process it and on what basis

• Replying to requests sent through the form and managing contacts with surgeons, clinics and distributors: pre-contractual measures requested by the data subject (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) and the Controller's legitimate interest in following up commercial requests (Art. 6.1.f).
• Keeping the website secure and preventing abuse: legitimate interest of the Controller (Art. 6.1.f).
• Complying with legal obligations (Art. 6.1.c).

Data is not used for automated decision-making, profiling or marketing.

Providing your data

Name, email, subject and message are necessary to reply: without them we cannot follow up your request. Phone and organisation are optional.

Who we share data with

Data is processed by authorised staff of the Controller and by providers of hosting, website maintenance and email services, appointed as processors under Art. 28 GDPR. It may be disclosed to public authorities only where required by law. Data is neither disseminated nor sold.

Transfers abroad

Data is processed within the European Economic Area. Any transfer to third countries would take place only with the safeguards required by Articles 44 et seq. GDPR.

How long we keep it

Messages received through the form are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and any resulting relationship and, afterwards, for the period required by law or to protect the Controller's rights. Technical browsing data is kept only as long as strictly necessary for the security of the website.

Your rights

You can at any time ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and object to processing (Arts. 15-21 GDPR) by writing to info@medixsan.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
